Question: What is the mass in grams of 1.0 mole of glucose, C6H12O6?
Solution:
12 × 6 + 12 × 1 + 16 × 6 = 72 + 12 + 96 = 180 g

Question: How many moles of glucose in 8.5 g of C6H12O6?
Solution:
Number of moles = 8.5 g / 180 g = 0.047
