Introduction to Bohr's Model
Electrons in an atom are permitted only orbits of certain radii and certain definite energies given by the relation:
E = (− 2.18 × 10− 18 J)(1/n2)
Where: n = quantum number, = 1, 2, 3…..∞ as shown below:
Limitation of the model
It is only limited to the H atom (which has only ONE electron), i.e. can not apply to larger atoms.
